Dakshina Kannada Athletics Championships-2019 inaugurated

Mangaluru, Oct 19, 2019:  Dakshina Kannada Athletics Championship-2019 organised by the Dakshina Kannada District Athletics Association was inaugurated at Mangala Stadium here on October 19, Saturday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said a sum of Rs 10 crore has been released for the development of the stadium under Smart City Project. The state government too has released Rs 3.5 crore towards the purpose, he added.

Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of DK District Working Journalists’ Association.  Rohit Hegde, former customs assistant commissioner,  Taranath Shetty, Secretary of Dakshina Kannada Athletics Association and others were present.
