DYFI takes out mock funeral procession to protest NHAI apathy

Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2017: The  Dakshina Kannada district unit of the DYFI took out a mock funeral procession  at Baikampady on December 27, Wednesday to protest against the apathy of the National Highway Authority of  India which has failed to repair the   highway near Suratkal which is in a bad shape.

 

The procession was taken out from near the APMC yard  upto the Deepak Petrol Bunk. The  effigy was then placed  on a highway pothole to block movement of vehicles. Later the effigy was burnt at the same spot.

DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla,  BK Imtiyaz, Dayananda Shetty, Srinath Kulal and others participated in the protest.
