Addressing the protestors, District DYFI Secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal said the underpass which was constructed after several memoranda were submitted, the water logged condition there  during rains has made it difficult to commute to Faisalnagar and Bajal through the railway underpass.

"The authorities have failed to respond to the problem despite bringing the matter to heir notice. The local MP, MLC and all the people’s representatives have visited the place but there is no progress,” Sunil Kumar Bajal added.

DYFI demanded immediate repair of  the roads from Bajal, Vijayanagar, Jalligudde and Alape and also steps to drain the accumulating water in the underpass. It has also demanded strict action against the engineers responsible for  the unplanned railway underpass.

Earlier, a protest march was taken out from Padil to MCC. The protestors also submitted a memorandum to the MCC Commissioner.
