DK-Udupi Council polls: counting to begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday

Mangaluru, December 29, 2015: Preparations have been completed for the counting of votes cast in the election held for the Legislative Council from the local bodies’ constituency in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, said Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim.

Speaking to presspersons here, Mr Ibrahim said that the counting of votes will be conducted at Victoria Girls Composite Pre-University College, Lady Hill from 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The candidates and their agents would have to be at the counting centre by 7.30 a.m. Vehicles would have to be passed at the exhibition grounds at Lalbagh. No mobile phones would be allowed inside the centre.

He said that 14 tables would be arranged for the counting of votes. Entire counting process would be recorded. There would be 29 rounds in the initial counting.Later the agents of candidates who contested the election were explained about the process of counting.
