DK II PU exams start on an even note

Mangaluru, Mar 10, 2017: It was an orderly and smooth start on the first day of the II PU exams in the city and DK;  no reports of students misbehavior or  being debarred were seen.

PU examsThe first paper of the second pre-university and the class 12 examinations went off peacefully in Mangaluru and other parts of Dakshina Kannada district on March 9, Thursday.

At least 23,380 students wrote the biology and history papers of the II PU exam. While 9,980 students wrote the biology paper, 35 students are said to be absent on the first day.

Also 13,400 students wrote the history paper, while 350 were absent. No students were debarred, according to a press release issued by the office of the Deputy Director of Pre-University Board.

The class 12 students from Central Board of Secondary Education schools, namely Kendriya Vidyalalya 1, Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, Sharada Vidyaniketan, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Lourdes Central School, wrote the English Core paper on Thursday.
