Mangaluru May 14, 2016: Dakshina Kannada Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal has said that the district unit of the party supports the Yettinahole project. "District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai who had opposed Yettinahole project, soon realised that it will not affect Dakshina Kannada District," he added.
Addressing the press at the Congress office on May 14, Saturday he said the project was initiated by Sadananda Gowda, Yeddyurappa, Jagadish Shettar and Veerappa Moily after receiving technical feedbacks.
Criticising Modi for comparing Kerala to Somalia, he said the controversial statement has defamed BJP in Kerala. Modi who is known for his false promises should learn lessons from Siddaramaiah who has fulfilled more than 110 out of the 168 promises as mentioned in the manifesto and has also implemented several welfare programmes for the needy, said Kodijal.
Vishwas Das, Padmanabha, CF Mustafa, Nazeer Bajal and others were present.
