DCS prodigy Nidhi Shenoy Y qualifies for Nationals

Mangalore, May 30, 2013: Derik’s Chess School prodigy, Nidhi Shenoy Y has secured Runner Up place in the Karnataka State Under 9 Girls Chess Championship held at Bangalore recently.

Nidhi Shenoy scored unbeaten 6 points with 5 wins and two draws in 7 round Swiss league tournament.

Based on her performance, Nidhi has been selected to represent Karnataka in the National under 9 Girls Chess Championship to be held at Chennai during November.

Nidhi Shenoy, 4th standard student of St. Theresa’s English Convent School is a proud daughter of Vivek Shenoy and Vidya Shenoy of Bejai, Mangalore.
