DCC Chief warns disciplinary action against erring Congress men

Mangaluru, Nov 04 2019: District Congress President Harish Kumar has said that today being the last day for withdrawal of nominations, a final appeal has been made to  those  party men who have filed nomination despite not being the official candidates. He also warned of disciplinary action against those   who indulge in anti-party activities against official party candidates.

 

Speaking to reporters here on November 4, Monday, he said the party’s official candidates have filed nomination in all 60 wards.  In most wards candidates have been fielded with  consensus except in a few wards where a few aspirants have expressed disappointment. He pointed out that a former Corporator has defected to the BJP and was contesting from that party.  However, no other party worker has quit, he said.

Harish Kumar also regretted the alleged assault on a former MLA over the issue of ticket distribution.
