DC told to hold meet on St Agnes College head scarf row : Khader

Mangaluru, June 30, 2018: State Minister for Urban Development and Housing  U T Khader has said that the district administration has been instructed to take suitable action with regard to the head scarf row that has cropped up at St Agnes College in the city.

Speaking to reporters after participating in a meeting at the DC office on June 30, Saturday, Khader said  St Agnes is a reputed educational institution and there was no need for outside organisations to interfere in this issue and bring disrepute to the institution. The issue has to be sorted out by the College management, students and parents, he added.

"As this is a sensitive issue, I have asked the DC to  summon all those concerned and hold talks. He said he would intervene if the problem still remains unsolved.
