DC issues guidelines for simple Diwali celebration

Mangaluru, Oct 22, 2020:    Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has issued instructions to celebrate Deepavali in a simple way in the district by strictly adhering to all Covid-19 related guidelines.

 

The DC in his order has said shops  having authorised licences should only sell fire crackers at places away from public and residential places and that the firecrackers shops can function only between November 1 and 17.

A minimum of six meter distance should be maintained beteen two stalls and the copy of the licence issued by the authority should be displayed. Sanitisers and thermal screenign arrangements should also be made and  masks and social distancing is mandatory, he said.
