Custom officers seize Foreign Currency worth Rs. 69.50 lakhs at MIA

Mangaluru, Mar 18, 2017: The Customs officers at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on March 18, Saturday seized foreign currency worth Rs.69.50 lakhs from Mohammed Asgar.

 

Mohammed Asgar was basically from Kasargod. The currency was seized at the time of his departure from Mangaluru International Airport by Air India flight to Dubai. The said passenger attempted to smuggle the foreign currency from India  without valid money exchange documents.He was taken to custody by the Custom officials .
