Cultural feast on Day Two of Nudisiri 2011

Moodbidri, Nov 2011: Day two of Nudisiri 2011 proved to be a literary and cultural treat for the audience. It commenced with an Udayaraga at 5:30 a.m., after which Dasara Padagalu, Kavisamaya, and other events were held on Ratnakaravarni stage. 


Cultural events were held throughout the day, and at noon, the Alvas Chitrasiri 2011 Award was conferred on Marishamachar, the senior artist.

Event such as Kavisamaya Kavnamana, cultural events by the students of Alva’s Institutions, a seminar, a special lecture, and light music were held in the afternoon. 


Later in the evening, colorful events such as Kathak and Bharathnatyam dance performances, Maatina Mantapa, children’s play, Jago Bharat, Vachan Kirtan, and others were held at four venues, namely, Ku Shi Haridas Bhat, Ratnakaravarni, K. V. Subbanna, and Udupi Ananda Ganiga stages. 


Since the events were held at different venues, people could be seen hurrying from one venue to the other unwilling to miss any event.
