Just three days back, he was advised not to play for five months as he had injured both his toes and required surgery.

The cricketer told reporters who surrounded him outside the airport before he boarded a car that was waiting for him there. He said that it impossible for him to play international cricket for the next five months as he has to undergo two surgeries on his toes.

He also said that he might move to London for treatment.

The Kerala cricket player last represented the country in the test series in England last summer and played only one first class match before getting the toe injury.

Instead of undergoing surgery last December, he took ayurvedic treatment and hoped that he would be fit enough to play the CB series in Australia this year.

Although part of the Rajasthan Royals this season, he couldn’t play a single match and had to return to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for rehabilitation last month.
