Creation of jobs is only solution for poverty: Narayana Murthy

Mangalore, Jan 16, 2014: The rebuilt facility of Primacy Industries Ltd, the world largest candle factory, was inaugurated by  NR Narayana Murthy, Executive Chairman of  IT major Infosys.

In his inaugural address, said the new facility of Primacy   shows the determination, courage and concern towards the society of the promoters of the factory who  rebuilt the factory which was gutted in an unfortunate fire mishap which would have otherwise thrown the lives of several workers of the factory off guard.

He also said  the inauguration of the rebuilt facility has indeed brought smiles on the faces of the over 850 staff of the factory. He said his experiences have made him conclude that   creation of job opportunities was the only  solution to poverty.

T Gautam Pai, Chairman of Primacy Industries said the rebuilding of the factory has been a dream come true despite all obstacles. He was also thankful to the Primacy Team and  the President of Primacy VK Thalittaya who had stood  by his side as well as many others who assisted in rebuilding the facility.

Narayana Murthy was honoured on the occasion by RK Sehgal, Director of Primacy. M Narendra, Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Overseas Bank, VK Thalittaya, Troy Propes, Director of Primacy, Sudha Murthy, Sandhya Pai and several others were present.
