Crackdown on Drug Menace, police arrests in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, April 6,2017: In the wake of growing drug mafia in Mangaluru city, police personnel have arrested 19 persons along with 1.5 kilograms of ganja from various parts of the city and its outskirts on April 5,Tuesday. The police nabbed persons found engaged in ganja sales and other related activity in various parts of the city in a crackdown. A ganja addicted, Gopal was arrested while consuming ganja who is also an accused in four murder cases.


Drug arrest Mohammed Saleem (29), resident of Someshwar K C Road was arrested when trying to sell ganja to students near an educational institution, he is also accused in a murder case at Sakleshpur. 

The list of arrested include, Tilakraj (23) from Urwa, Harshit Shetty (24) from Kulshekhar, Chandrahas (25) from Maroli, Prajwal (37) from Ladyhill, Abubakker Siddique (22) from Yedapadavu, Noorul Hassan (27), and Mohammed Junoon (21), both from Yedapadavu, Afwan (20), Mohammed Saleem alias Siri Saleem (29), Prashanth, Gopal and others.
