Cow electrocuted near B.C. Road

Bantwal, July 26, 2014: A cow which was grazing near the BC Road by pass on July 25, Friday died of electrocution.

The incident agitated the residents of the area who took the TMC officials and MESCOM personnel to task.

 

 The huge piles of garbage in the area has made many cattle stray to this area. The authorities had also not cleared the garbage despite repeated appeal.

It is learnt, the cow was owned by Purushottam  of Ganadapadpu and was valued at Rs 35000. When health inspector tried to over ride the angry locals some youth even tried to assault him.

Finally,  locals elected representatives rushed to the spot and took control over the situation.
