Covid-19 fear : Fish trading suspended in old port for 10 days

Mangaluru, June 24, 2020:   Wholesale fresh fish   dealers in the old port of Mangaluru have decided to suspend all businesses for the next ten days as many are reportedly suffering from  Covid-19 symptoms like cold, cough and fever. K Ashraf, President of the Association of Mangaluru Dock Fresh Fish Dealers and Commission Agents has written to the Deputy Commissioner in this regard.

 

It is learnt some traders have even been admitted for treatment. The wholesale dealers have also requested the administration to ensure unauthorised traders do not carry out business in other areas.
