Covid-19: One more patient discharged in Dakshina Kannada on Sunday

Mangaluru, April 12, 2020: A 70-year-old woman, who was admitted to a KMC Hospital at Attavara after testing positive for COVID-19 has been discharged on Sunday.  The patient was discharged after samples sent on April 7 and 8 tested negative. As on Sunday, seven patients infected with Covid-19 were discharged reducing the active cases from 12 to five in Dakshina Kannada district.

No positive cases were reported in Dakshina Kannada on Sunday. All 28 reports received in the district as on Sunday were negative for Covid-19.

Udupi: No positive cases were reported in Udupi district too. Two people suspected of being positive for Covid-19 were admitted to isolation wards in the Udupi. As many as 36 swab samples were collected in the district. The results of 44 samples are pending. Until now, 329 samples out of 376, collected from the suspects had tested negative. As many as 86 were under home quarantine. Only three positive cases were reported in the district for Covid-19 until Sunday. The first Covid-19 patient in the district was already discharged from the hospital.
