Court refuses to grant bail to MUDA Commissioner

Mangaluru, April 06, 2024: The Court has denied bail to MUDA Commissioner Mansoor Ali and agent Muhammad Saleem who were arrested by the Lokayukta police of Mangaluru on March 23 on the charges of accepting bribe of Rs 25 lakhs.

The Commissioner was arrested while accepting bribe from a businessman through an agent near the Mangala Stadium. Both were produced before the court which had remanded them to judicial custody till April 8.

Both had applied for bail in the meantime. The 3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge who heard arguments from both sides, later denied bail to the two.
