Adiga hailing from Kundapur was also a Congress worker. He was allegedly kidnapped on January 7 night last year. After vehement search, his body was found at Kadur in Chikkamagaluru on January 12.

Other accused in the case namely KS Raghavendra, Ravichandra, Vijayasarathi, Subrahmanya Udupa, Umesh, Naveen and Mohan Kumar who too were arrested were later released on bail.

But Bayari’s bail pleas were earlier turned down by the Udupi Sessions Court, High Court and even the Supreme Court.

The Additional District and Sessions Court this time  conceded to the bail plea  made by Bayari’s lawyer after the questioning of all main witnesses in this case was over.
