Couple critically injured as express bus hits two-wheeler at Suratkal

Mangaluru, Aug 7, 2015:  A couple sustained serious injuries when an express bus rammed against the two-wheeler which they were riding at Tadambail  in Suratkal on August 7, Friday. The bus later crashed against a tanker heading towards Mangaluru from Udupi.

The injured couple are BH Ibrahim (57) and Zohra, residents of Chokkabettu. The couple were on way to Chokkabettu when the mishap took place. They have been admitted to a hospital in Mukka.

The express bus named Durgamba  was on way to Udupi from Mangaluru. It is gathered that the drivers of the bus and also  the tanker have suffered minor injuries in the mishap.

A case has been registered by Suratkal police.
