Corporation Bank Bags Three IBA Technology Awards

Mangalore, March 3: Mangalore-based public sector lender Corporation Bank has bagged three awards for technology in online banking, financial inclusion and training and e-learning initiatives of the Indian Bank Association.

The bank also launched two products, namely Corp CS and Corp Tax saver Plus on Wednesday.

The Bank has bagged Winner Award - under the category ’Best Financial Inclusion Initiative’ and ’Best Use of Technology in Training and e-Learning Initiatives’ and Runner-up Award - under the category ’Best Online Bank’ amongst public sector banks.

The awards were presented by former president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, at the Banking Technology Awards 2010 function held at Mumbai on March 2. The awards were received on behalf of the bank by chairman and managng director Ramnath Pradeep and executive director Ashwani Kumar. General manager B R Bhat was present on the occasion.

The bank has been consistently receiving awards from organizations of repute like IBA, IDRBT, SKOCH etc. on various facets of implementation of technology, financial inclusion, customer relationship management etc., over the last many years. Corporation Bank has leveraged technology adding value to the customers. Technology has been a hallmark of the bank’s excellence.
