Cops raid lodge over complaints of sex racket

Mangaluru, August 26, 2018: The police raided a lodge near the State Bank area in the city on August 26, Sunday in the wake of complaints from the members of the general public that a prostitution racket was operative in the place. Sources said no arrest was made during the raid.

A large crowd had gathered outside the lodge following news about the raid. Police had to finally resort to a mild lathi charge  to disperse the crowd.

Bunder police are investigating the case.

It may be mentioned here that the police had once earlier raided the lodge and  busted a prostitution racket.
