Cops raid beaches to check illegal activities

Mangaluru, Jan 08, 2021:     In a major crackdown on  possible illegal activities on  beaches,  police teams led by City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar conducted simultaneous raids at various beaches in the Commissionerate limits.

 

Raids were conducted at Tannirbavi, Panambur, Someshwar, Suratkal  beaches. The police also conducted an inspection  and   took into custody  as many as  75 men who were found unnecessarily loitering in the beaches and some also  consuming alcohol and  drugs. All of them have been reportedly let off after a warning, with the cops keeping a strict vigil on their movements.
