Cops nab prime accused in murder case

Mangalore, Aug 21, 2014: Reliable reports state, the CCB sleuths arrested prime accused in the murder of an autorickshaw driver at Thokkottu. The arrested is Uday alias Uday Raj (35), a resident of Bagambila,  Acting on a tip off that the accused was near a clinic in Bajal, the police personnel arrested him. Uday had stabbed Yathish, while he was coming out of a bar at Thokkottu.

The incident occured when Yatish along with his friends had been to bar on August 15.  Another group sitting nearby had made fun when Yathish’s friend was singing. Yatish objected to their remarks and this led to an altercation.

The other group had called Uday to teach a lesson to Yathish. Uday who was waiting outside the bar, stabbed him. In fact, Uday was involved in 2002 murder case of Srinivas Bajal and had served five years of imprisonment. 

The arrested was handed over to the Ullal police for further investigation. the murder was reported by our web site earlier.
