Cops crack mystery behind Karthikraj murder: Arrest 3 including kin of deceased

Mangaluru, April 29,2017: The police have finally achieved a breakthrough in the Karthikraj murder case that had made much news. They have arrested three persons including two brothers in connection with the case. The identity of the third accused said to be a relative of Karthikraj has not yet been divulged.

Karthikraj, a resident of Sudarshan Nagar at Pajeer near  Konaje who was brutally attacked during the wee hours of  October 22, 2016 while he was  jogging  as usual near Ganesh Mahal near Asaigoli, had breathed his last in the hospital the next day.

Initially it was thought to be a hit and run case  but a murder case was filed following the post-mortem report.

He was an engineering  graduate. Several protests had been staged demanding the arrest of the killers of Karthikraj.

It has now been gathered that the relative of Karthikraj who is now arrested had reportedly hired contract killers to eliminate him.

The Mangaluru Police Commissioner had formed a special team to crack the case following mounting pressure to arrest the  culprits. The arrested brothers   were living at Madoor Kondana. It is said a family member of Karthikraj had hired them to eliminate him.
