Container falls over lorry cabin; driver dies

Mangaluru, Nov 07 2019: A lorry driver  lost his life  when a container overturned late night on Wednesday. The deceased is Vinod Poojary (50), a resident of Vamanjoor.

 

 

The container  fixed to a lorry was being taken towards NMPT late Wednesay night when the container  slipped from the groove and fell over the lorry cabin killing Vinod on the spot.

It is being said that the mishap could have been averted if the safety lock was in place. However, it said many a time the drivers avoid  the safety lock on the grounds that it delays loading and unloading.
