Container Collides with Truck; Driver Dies on the Spot

A container loaded with Maruti cars collided with a truck on NH 48 close to Padil, killing the truck driver on the spot and seriously injuring the cleaner. The driver of the container, however, escaped unhurt. 

 

 

 

The steering wheel of the container broke and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The container collided with the truck, which was approaching from the opposite direction. The driver of the truck, identified as Prashanth (35), tried to avoid the container, dashed into a tree, and died on the spot. 

The deceased Prashanth is a resident of Dasarakody in Kalladka, Bantwal.
