Udupi, feb 1, 2017 : The issue pertaining to the resignation of former chief minister S M Krishna from the Congress party is an internal matter of the party which would be resolved internally through talks, said Rajya Sabha Member and former union minister Oscar Fernandes.
Speaking to reporters here, he said difference of opinion was normal in politics. " We will try to speak to him. Congress is a party which we all have strived to build. All of us including S M Krishna have a greater responsibility," said Oscar.
To a question on rumours that even Jaffer Sharief would quit the party, Oscar said he had no such information.
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is aware of his responsibilities. There is no need to give him any advice. The high command has already issued suitable instructions to him," said Oscar
On the comments of senior party leader B Janardhana Poojary, Oscar said "Poojary is discharging the responsibility entrusted on him by God. He has a special responsibility in the party." "Poojary’s statements will not cause embarrassment to the party in any way," he further added.
