Congress will gain upper hand in forthcoming ZP-TP elections

Mangalore Feb 18, 2016: MLC Ivan D’Souza said that Congress will gain upper hand in forthcoming Zilla Panchayath and Taluk Panchayath election.

Speaking to the press at congress office today Feb 18, he said that congress will acquire 30 seats out of 36 seats in Zilla Panchayath and acquire approximately over 90 seats out of 136 seats in Taluk panchayath in the district and will be dominant in the election by dethroning BJP.

He alleged the fake promises done by the BJP government in which they failed to implement programmes and schemes that would reach the beneficiaries such as the promise of bringing black money back to the country has also not been fulfilled by the NDA government, he complained.

He was also critical of the Union government for not reducing petroleum prices in the country despite there being a drastic reduction of petroleum prices in the international market from 128 dollars a barrel to 28 dollars.

DK Congress interim President Ibrahim Kodijaal, Nazeer Bajal, Sadashiva and others were present.
