Congress trying to divide nation, alleges Yuva Morcha leader Nupur Sharma

Mangaluru, March 01, 2016 :  National Media Co-Convenor of BJP, Nupur Sharma has accused the Congress of trying to divide the nation over the JNU row.

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the BJP office on February 29, Monday,  she lashed out  at all those including  the Congress for opposing sedition charges  by terming  that everyone had the right to ’dissent.’

She also alleged that almost all new channels barring a few were in favour of the Congress party.  Taking undue advantage and wrongfully using one’s freedom of speech is nothing but sedition, she added.

She was also critical of the Congress for its remarks to the  directive to  unfurl national flags in all Central Universities.

When asked about the attack on Kanhaiah Kumar and  journalists outside the Patiala House Court,  she said  the BJP has already condemned the attack on media men. However, she questioned why  there was no video with regard to the attack on journalists.

Nupur refused to comment on BJP leader Subrahmanyam Swamy’s demand to rename the Jawaharlal Nehru University after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stating it was Swamy’s ’personal opinion.’
