Congress shows doors to BHP Founder,Puttur Block Chief Kavu Hemanath Shetty

Puttur, Jan 31, 2015: In a significant development, the State Congress leadership has on January 31, Saturday sacked Puttur Block Congress President Kavu Hemanath Shetty who was in the centre stage of a controversy ever since he launched a Hindu outfit named Bharatiya Hindu Parishad.

 A letter by KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar states that Fazal Raheem would be immediately taking over as the Puttur Block Congress President.

It may be mentioned here that ever since Hemanath Shetty floated his Hindu outfit, reportedly to counter the VHP, he had faced sharp criticisms from senior party leader B Janardhana Poojary and many other Congress leaders.

Poojary had even demanded disciplinary action against Shetty for anti-party activities.
