Congress protests over DC’s resignation; demands probe

Mangaluru, Sept 6, 2019: Several Congress leaders staged a protest in front of the DC office here on September 6, Friday to oppose the resignation of Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil.

MLC Ivan D’Souza, citing the resignation letter of the DC   has demanded a probe into the matter. Several leaders who participated in the protest  also shouted slogans against the State and the Central Governments.

Yuva Janata Dal too opposes resignation: The District President of Yuva Janata Dal Akshit Suvarna, has in a press release  opposed the resignation of DC Senthil. He said his sudden resignation from civil service is a mirror to the present situation in the   nation.

The contents in the DC’s resignation letter reveals how our administration treats its officers, he said. He further alleged that the Modi government was trying to   have its way  through threatening tactics. It is a tragedy that the nation cannot have the services of able officers like  Sasikanth Senthil, the press release stated.
