Congress protests against slow progress of Kadri park road works

Mangaluru, Sep 21, 2020:     The District Congress Committee staged a protest at Kadri on September 21, Monday  to condemn the inordinate delay in the Kadri Park road development work.

 

 

 

 

 

Former MLA J R Lobo who too participated in the protest, deplored the snail’s pace at which the road work is being implemented since the past six months. He  also pointed out that the estimated cost of the project under the Smart City Project which was initially  Rs 4 crore has now been increased to Rs 12 crores.

Stressing the need for the effective utilisation of the sanctioned funds, he alleged that several projects  initiated during the Congress rule are being delayed  at present. He also  accused the  local MLA of failing to discharge his responsibilitieseffectively.

Former mayor Mahabala Maarla and other leaders took part in the protest.
