Congress ploy to rowdy sheet some Hindu activists, alleges Monappa Bhandari

Mangalore, Mar 15, 2014 : BJP leader and MLC Monappa Bhandari has accused the  Congress of trying to misuse its power  and see to it that  as many as 300 Hindu activists are rowdy sheeted by the police so that the BJP  election campaign was affected.

Addressing press persons at Sanghaniketan on March  15, Saturday, he said  the  BJP strongly condemned  any such move.

Bhandari further accused the ministers and MLAs of the Congress in the district of exerting influence over the police department to have their way. He said the members of the Hindu organisations have always tried to fight against anti-social elements, and have never engaged in any unlawful activity.

He said BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel will be submitting his nomination as DK candidate on March 20.

Kishore Rai, Diwaker Samani, Sanjeeva Matandoor and other party leaders were present.
