Mangaluru, Apr 30, 2018: There is a vast difference between the Siddaramaiah led State Congress government and the Modi led BJP government at the Centre. If the state government has fulfilled its election promises in the last five years, the Modi government has failed in this regard, said AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad.
Speaking to reporters here on April 30, Monday, he alleged that women do not have security under the BJP rule. Even the law and order in the BJP ruled states are terrifying, he said. Referring to encounters, Hariprasad said at the most there would have been 100 fake encounters during the last 70 years in India, be it under any government. However, the encounters during the Yogi Adityanath regime in Uttar Pradesh alone has crossed 1000, he said.
The upcoming election is in a way a fight between the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse, Hariprasad said.
Indirectly referring to the BJP candidate of Mangaluru South, Hariprasad said a close aide of the accused in the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case has been given a ticket and alleged that the BJP does not believe in social justice. He echoed the sentiments of Krishna J Palemar who is a disappointed man after denied a ticket from Mangaluru North.
