Congress backed candidate wins Manchi GP bye-polls

Bantwal, Dec 20, 2017:   Congress backed candidate  Moidu Kunhi has won the  bye-elections to one seat in Manchi Gram Panchayat. The counting was held at the Mini Vidhana Saudha here on December 20, Wednesday.

 

If Moidu Kunhi secured 463 votes, his nearest rival Prabhaker Shetty bagged 356 votes. A total of 21 votes were rejected.

The counting was held in the presence of  Deputy Tahsildar Vasu Shetty and Social Welfare  Department’s Assistant Director K Mohan Kumar.

DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai  congratulated the winner. The victorious candidate was also taken out in a procession.
