Commissioner warns pubs against late night operations

Mangaluru, Mar 14, 2019: City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil has warned of strict action against pubs which  operate  till late  in the night in violation of the  time limit set  by the  authorities.

He said the Department has been receiving complaints from the public regarding the inconvenience caused to them due to the  operations of the  pubs  till late in the  night and also regarding the unruly behaviour of some people.

The Commissioner has  instructed all the pubs to have CCTV cameras installed both inside and outside their premises.

Regarding  cases of drunken driving, the Commissioner  said the Department has put to use 12 new breath analysers to curb the menace and that special inspection drives are conducted   on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through barricades placed in zig zag manner.
