Commissioner to look into Trishula Deeksha issue on Ayudha Pooja day

Mangaluru, Oct 15, 2021: City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has said that he would  look into the concerns raised over distribution of Trishula or tridents by VHP during Ayudha Pooja, and will initiate action if it was  against the law.

 

 

 

The  Commissioner said so after public expressed apprehensions over the distribution of trishulas to activists by Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders during  the Ayudha Pooja function held at the VHP office at Kadri on Thursday.

The Commissioner said there is information of  holding Trishula Deeksha programmes  in many parts of the city and outskirts and that the organisers informed that this was a symbolic Trishula Deeksha done every Ayudha Pooja. He said officials have been asked to gather more information. If there is anything illegal then action will be taken, he added.
