Commissioner railway safety inspects charvattur-mangaluru section

Mangaluru, Mar 12, 2017: Shri. K.A. Manoharan, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), Southern Circle, Bangaluru inspected the newly electrified railway secton of Mangaluru Central-Charvattur, on 11th March, 2017 (Saturday).

The inspection team led by the CRS left Mangaluru Central at 10.00 hours in the special inspection car. The team checked the Level crossing gates, Curves, Tunnel and bridges located within the section before arriving at Charvattur at 15.30 hours. The team inspected Kasaragod Railway station, Bekal Fort Sectioning Post and commissioned the new Substation at Charvattur. The Commissioner conducted speed trial in the return direction, leaving Charvattur at 17.48 hours to arrive at Mangaluru Central at 18.52 hours.
 
Commissioner, Railway safety has been accompanied by
Shri S. Ramasubbu- Chief Electrical Distribution Engineer(Southern Railway),
Shri G. P. Garg-Deputy Commissioner of Railway Safety(Electrical) and Shri  Srinivasan, Deputy Commissioner of Railway Safety(Signal).
 
From the side of Railway Electrification Wing ,K. Shri Nagendra Prasad, Chief Project Director and Shri V. K. Manoharan, Deputy Chief Engineer-Rail Electrification-Kannur were present.
Shri Naresh Lalwani- Divisional Railway Manager led the team from the Division along with Shri S. Jayakrishnan-Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer(Traction), Shri V. Rajagopalan-Senior Divsional Engineer, Shri.N.Ramachandran-Senior Divsional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer and  Shri C. Chelladurai-Senior Divisional Safety Officer.
