Clear backlog of Bagar Hukum applications, Minister Kagodu instructs Tahsildar

Mangaluru, Mar 09, 2017:  State Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa has directed the Tahsildar to  take immediate measures to clear the long pending  Akrama Sakrama (Bagar Hukum) applications  and issue ownership documents(title deeds).

Holding a meeting in the city on March 9, Thursday  with revenue officials with regard to the form 50, 53 (Bagar Hukum) and 94C and 94CC ( House title deeds), the minister warned of action in the event of non-sanction of the title deeds as per the target by the time of his next visit in another two months. The Minister also stated that  regularisation of  farm lands as well as the houses built on government lands is a priority programme of the state government.

At least 1000 Bagar Hukum applications have to be cleared  per month in every taluk. The DC should make a constant review of the progress, the minister said adding though one lakh Bagar Hukum applications have been cleared in the state, still three lakh applications are pending. As many as 25,000 applications are pending in Dakshina Kananda district alone, he added.

Stating that  under  Form 94 and 94CC a total of one lakh applications have been received for regularisation of houses constructed on government lands, he added  and instructed that title deeds should be distributed to all within six months.

During the meeting the minister instructed the DC to immediately approve any request for  Hindu crematorium and separate crematorium for SC STs.

Deputy Commissioner K G Jagadeesha, MLA Abhayachandra Jain and other officials were also present.
