Classic musical drama ’Sound of Music’ in Konkani at Bengaluru on April 21

Bengaluru, April 19, 2017: Kanara Saraswat Association (KSA)  along with the Saraswat Mahila Samaj (SMS) which has entered into 100th year,  have planned to promote a Konkani Musical Drama “NaadNinaad” involving over 40 artists from Canara Union Arts Section, Malleshwaram, Bangalore, in the age groups of 4 and 74 years. This drama is a Konkani adaptation of the most popular American Musical Hit Film of 1965, ‘Sound of Music’ and is a “must see” for everyone, especially the Konkani speaking audience of all age groups.

This drama has been staged 5 times before in Bangalore to a Full House and has received standing ovation every time. The sixth performance is planned at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore on 21st April, 2017 before the entire troupe travels to Mumbai on 13th and 14th May for the first time outside Bangalore City.

The plans for both the shows in Mumbai are filling fast even over a month prior to the scheduled two shows.

The two consecutive shows of this Konkani drama“ Naad Ninaad” will be held at :
Yashwant Natya Mandir, Matunga (W), in Mumbai
1st Show on Saturday 13th May, 2017 at 8.30pm
2nd Show on Sunday 14th May, 2017 at 10.00 am

NAAD NINAAD – A Konkani Musical, an adaptation of the timeless and evergreen classic “The Sound of Music” translated in spirit and song is BACK after ‘5 wonderfully received shows’ . NaadNinaad is an enthusiastic team of 65+ ranging ages from 4 yrs. To 74 yrs. with an on-stage cast of 40+ actors. Come and get thrilled as you travel down into yesteryears with the enlivening live background music and on-stage singing by the performers themselves.
