Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2016: As many as five persons were injured following a clash between two factions  of Badriya Jumma Masjid at Angaragudde  near Mulki on September 23, Friday.

As many as five persons were injured following a clash between two factions  of Badriya Jumma Masjid at Angaragudde  near Mulki on September 23, Friday.It is said on Thursday night when Assayyed Ibrahim Tangal, the Khatib of the masjid was delivering the religious discourse, members of another faction  barged in and vandalised the place and escaped after attacking the Khatib and another Jamaat Member Mustafa.

The next morning,  the accused  namely Siddique, Muhammed Saaz,  Ahmed Bava, Abdul Khader, Zubair, Abubakker, Muhammed Hanif and  Karnire Shamsu, reportedly attacked a youth named Shihab (18) when he was on way to the college.

In another development, it is alleged that Ahmed Bava (55), Nawaz (21), Zubair (40) and Abdul Khader (48) who were on way to the Angaragudde mosque to offer Namaz  were  reportedly attacked and abused by some people identified as Hussain, Ashiq, Irshad, Nissar, Iqbal and several others.

Complaints and counter complaints were lodged regarding the cases in  Mulki Police Station. Investigations are in progress.
