Civil engineer killed in car-bike accident near Uppinangady.

Uppinangady: July 17, 2015: A civil engineer on Thursday died in a road accident between car-bike at Kemmara near Uppinandgady.

The deceased has been identified as Binoy(39), resident of Kutruppady in Kadaba in the taluk.


It is learnt that Binoy was on his way to Uppinangady to Kadaba in his bike, collided with a car which was going to Kollur.


The impact of the accident was such that the rider was dragged over the distance of 20 feet. Binoy was severely injured in the accident and breathed his last.

There was a clash between the locals and the car driver after the accident.
The locals censured that the car driver negligence caused the mishap.

Binoy was rushed to the hospitals by the locals.

The uppinangady police immediately arrived to the spot and investigated.


A case has been registered at Puttur police station.
