City water supply schedule improved, showers in Nethravathi catchment

Mangaluru, June 07, 2019: The Mangaluru City Corporation has improved the  schedule of drinking water supply in city by advancing it, as per the ongoing rationing, by a day to June 8 from June 9.

 

Water will be supplied from 6 a.m. on June 8 to 6 a.m. on June 12 for 96 hours, a release from the corporation said.

As per the earlier schedule, the ‘no water’ days which started from 6 a.m. on June 6 lasted till 6 a.m. on June 9. Now it has been cut by a day.

The measure has been taken as Thumbe vented dam has received 12 cm of water on June 6 Thursday following rains in the catchment areas of the Netravathi.
