Mangaluru, August 13, 2017: In a peak effort to bring awareness and following of laws and regulation the city traffic police held an awareness talk for the garbage vehicle drivers of Antony Waste Handling Co on August 12, more than 150 drivers attended the talk and clarified their doubts for better, safer and  streamlined movements of garbage vehicles and personnel to aid smooth and safe block free traffic on city roads on a daily basis.

Under the baton of police Inspector Mohan Kottari and ASI Shekar an educative talk and tips on rules, practices and all aspects of  safety for garbage truck movement on city roads was taken up. In particular the best ways to park vehicles on busy road for good garbage handling, driving skills, adhering to regulations, not using alcohol and gutka, interaction with public in difficult road situations and so on was elaborated with all useful information to the participants. Antony Waste Co Manager Prakash was also on hand to provide needed support. Several traffic police personnel assisted. It was good to see a good number of garbage vehicle drivers participating at the end of a hard day on the roads. Public who were on lookers appreciated the efforts of the city traffic police and co-operation of the drivers and requested that such awareness be stepped up for a better smart Mangaluru city.
