City’s senior-most advocate Purushottam Poojary passes away

Mangalore, May 6, 2014 : Mangalore’s well-known  and senior most criminal lawyer  Purushottam Poojary  has passed away.  The popular advocate who was also a known human rights activist was 93 years of age.

He breathed his last at his residence in the city on May 6, Tuesday morning.

 Purushottam Poojary was fighting for justice in the case of the murder of his junior and human rights activist Naushad Kashimiji despite getting threats.

He was also unhesitant in taking up cases  which many other advocates refrained from taking up.
