City court rejects bail plea of 3 accused in Derlakatte forced sex case

Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2014:  The bail petition of three accused in the  Derlakatte forced sex case  has been rejected by the Sixth Additional District and Sessions Court  and Special Court for Sexual Assault cases of the city.

 

Those who have been denied bail are Hussain alias Safwan from Haleyangady, Sameer from Katipalla and Nawaz alias Praveen from Kairangala. The trio had allegedly kidnapped two students of a medical college at Derlakatte on December 18 last  year and had forced them to indulge in sex. They had videographed it in their mobile phones and later demanded Rs 25 lakhs  from the students threatening to make the video public if they were denied cash.

 The court had earlier rejected the bail petition of Iqbal Harris, another accused in the case. There are a total of eight accused in this case.
