City Police Commissioner assures action against fake astrologers

Mangaluru, Nov 25, 2017: City Police Commissioner T R Suresh has assured  that the department would voluntarily initiate action against fake astrologers who were fleecing innocents  by luring them through advertisements.

During his Phone-in Programme on November 25, Friday, the Commissioner was responding to a request from a caller who  sought legal action against several fake astrologers who are found putting up big banners in various places.

Another caller complained of  the autorickshaw  park at Ballalbagh which is presently in  a  no -parking area after the parking spot has been encroached by a nearby building.

 Responding to this, the Commissioner asked ACP (Traffic) Manjunath Shetty to submit a report along with the photograph of the encroachment .

DCP Uma informed that    Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned to improve the traffic system  in Mangaluru  and  added that of this Rs 50 lakh has been already released and tenders have been invited.  The   process of installing CC Camera, reflectors, traffic cones will begin by month end, she informed.
