City Police Commissioner T R Suresh to receive President’s Police Medal

Mangaluru, Jan 25, 2018: City Police Commissioner  T  R Suresh will be receiving the coveted President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service during the Republic Day celebrations to be held on January 26, Thursday.

Suresh, an MBA graduate from University of Mysore, was inducted into IPS in 2003 after serving in various positions in the police since 1991. He has  served as in-charge Superintendent of Police in Kodagu and then served as Superintendent of Police in Bagalkot, Raichur and Tumakuru.

He was Deputy Commissioner of Police North East and North divisions, respectively in Bengaluru.

 Before being posted in Mangaluru, he has served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services. He hails from Shivamogga.

Kamalaksha, Head Constable of Panambur Police Station  has been selected for Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
